I get it.
You’re scared of what your future might look like if things don’t change.
Seeing friends settle down – marriage, children, fulfilling relationships – stirs shame and frustration. You wonder, why hasn’t it happened for you?
Whether you’re stuck in a relationship that doesn’t feel right or searching endlessly on dating apps, it’s all left you feeling so drained and disappointed.
Maybe you’ve lowered your standards, thinking you’re the problem, but each date only seems to confirm your worst fears.
You go to bed feeling defeated, scrolling through social media and watching others live the life you want. Sleepless nights follow because of racing thoughts about what’s missing and why you’re still waiting.
You feel like time is running out to start the family you have always dreamed of.
Each day at work feels like another reminder of the life you don’t have.
Bored, unfulfilled, and frustrated, you’ve applied for jobs that seemed like a way out, but silence or rejection leaves you feeling trapped.
It’s like the life you’ve dreamed of is slipping further away. And when you finally come home, hoping for relief, you’re alone with your thoughts again.
Everything feels heavy, and distraction by scrolling on Instagram or TikTok only leads to more disappointment.
You just want to know – how can things ever get better?
You might be reading this thinking, YES! This is exactly how I feel!
The reason I get it is because I have been there myself, so I understand the fear of the unknown and the dread around what life might be like if you don’t keep pushing.
I too have been stuck in painfully unfulfilling job roles and relationships, constantly feeling trapped and fed up.
I’ve faced the consequences of working myself into the ground in pursuit of a better life.
I know all too well those painful thoughts of what it will be like to be alone, the helplessness and frustration when things don’t go as they should, and the overwhelming pressure to succeed in every possible way.
In 2016, a series of bereavements and losses left me feeling even more hopeless, constantly anxious, feeling a new sense of low that I didn’t think was possible.
Desperate for change, I reached out to a mindfulness counsellor, not knowing then just how deeply it would transform my life for the better.
"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" - Lao Tzu
I decided to retrain as a counsellor, which was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I love the work I do with my clients, and I finally have that sense of fulfilment and satisfaction that I always used to crave.
What makes me unique is my personal experience of feeling helpless, allowing me to genuinely understand your struggles. I also bring a strong background in supporting clients who feel anxious about their future.
I believe everyone should have someone to support them along the way. Hearing that the guidance I provide has been helpful to my clients affirms my belief that this is my true purpose in life - to help others.
I am passionate about using mindfulness as a way of being in my own daily life, and I bring my genuine, authentic self into every session.
Clients have told me they feel a sense of calm when working with me. A calm environment is at the heart of the work I do.
One of the things I teach you is how to use mindfulness yourself outside of our sessions, so you can take this sense of calm with you into your own life.
Some of the coping strategies I teach you can make a difference to your life straight away, for example, an effective grounding
technique to stop a panic attack from escalating.
Some of the ways in which my clients have told me therapy has helped them include:
Seeing my client’s transformation through therapy reminds me why I do this work.
It’s incredibly fulfilling to know I’m right where I need to be, helping you create real change in your life, and this confirms to me that I have finally found my true purpose.
I’m grateful every day for the chance to be a part of your journey!
